SUSTAINABILITY
We take pride in being certified under ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management. These certifications demonstrate our commitment to meeting high-quality standards and minimising our environmental impact. We follow established procedures and implement sustainable practices to enhance our processes and reduce our ecological footprint. These certifications reflect our responsibility towards both quality and environmental protection.
As part of our commitment to maintaining high standards in our supply chain, we require our suppliers to be Amfori BSCI certified. Amfori BSCI is a recognised supply chain management system that has a Code of Conduct supporting companies in maintaining social standards and improving conditions in factories throughout their global supply chains. Additionally, Amfori BSCI actively works towards 10 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
We also mandate that our suppliers hold ISO 9001 certification to ensure quality in our deliveries. We strive to incorporate sustainable solutions into our business practices, including the use of recyclable packaging for our garments and the selection of materials and sustainable production methods. Moreover, the dyeing of our fabric is carried out by an ISO 14001 certified subcontractor.
We at Lyngsoe strive to contribute to a better world and play our part in driving positive changes
UN's sustainability development goals
The United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted in 2015. We are focused on several of these goals, but have chosen to prioritize three SDGs as we aim to delve deeper into the goals we operate with. Our goal, however, is to work on all Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, where we would like to have defined and accounted for actions for each SDG to achieve sustainable development outcomes.
The three Sustainable Development Goals - Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, and Goal 13: Climate Action - are displayed on the right with their respective icons.
Carbon footprint
We have established a climate account to quantify our greenhouse gas emissions within Scope 1 and Scope 2. Through the climate account, we identify direct emissions from our own sources (Scope 1) as well as indirect emissions from purchased energy (Scope 2). By analyzing our data, we set ambitious goals to reduce our climate impact. We implement effective solutions to reduce our CO2 footprint and optimize our resource consumption.
Furthermore, we collaborate with our suppliers to improve energy efficiency. Our goal is to be a responsible company that actively contributes to a positive future climate. Through the combination of our climate account and professional initiatives within Scope 1 and Scope 2, we are working diligently to create a more sustainable future.
