Workwear for Thermal Hazards from an Electric Arc
Protective clothing designed to provide protection against the energy of a potential electric arc. The standard specifies protective clothing to be used during work involving electricity in open electrical equipment or when it is necessary to access an electrical system, and there is a risk of an electric arc. There are two testing methods to achieve this standard; Open Arc IEC 61482-1-1 and Box test EN 61482-1-2. We have classified the arc protective performance into arc rating protection levels based on ELIM, ATPV, and/or EBT values that correspond best to different levels of hazards and risks, which may result from the user’s risk analysis. It is necessary to use a coverall or a two-piece suit and ensure that the clothing is fastened at all times for optimal protection, along with the associated accessories.
